Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s daughter lands first modeling gig
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s daughter Monroe, 10, earns her own money now. She landed her first modeling gig with the children’s clothing brand OshKosh B’gosh. The back to school campaign features sweet-faced Monroe wearing a special look. She’s natural while still acting and posing for the camera undisturbed and embracing the spotlight. Along with the snaps, a campaign video features the mini-me playing a 10-year-old version of his superstar mother.
Just like mom
In the campaign video, Monroe plays her mother at the age of 10, manifesting her dreams of being a superstar. “Someday it will be different,” Monroe said in a voiceover. “The melodies that live in my head… One day, they will live at the top of the charts. The songs in My Heart will touch millions of hearts. Artist of the Year, Artist of the Decade, Artist of the Millennium. But the meaning is to inspire generations of little girls to hit their high mark. How’s that for a daydream? The adorable campaign made mom proud and she gushed about her daughter, Monroe and son Rocco and the opportunity to watch them grow up HEY.
“As a mother, it brings me so much joy to see my children visualize and develop the dreams they have in their own hearts,” said Carey, who chose the first job her daughter presents to the world. “We ran the campaign because we love the message of empowering children to dream boldly and forge their own path.” Although Carey and Cannon are no longer a couple, the two make sure to nurture their children’s artistic side and they are said to be “fully supportive” of their children’s intentions to pursue careers in entertainment. “Mariah and Nick know their kids are really talented and just want them to be happy, so if singing makes them happy they totally support it,” an insider shared with Hollywoodlife.com.
Famous social media
Carey regularly shares TikTok videos of herself and her kids participating in challenges. She and Monroe sang and danced to “Save The Day” to encourage people to come out and vote. While promoting his book, Carey featured his son Rocco reading a copy of his autobiography The meaning of Mariah Carey. Unlike most celebrities who prefer to keep their children out of the spotlight, parents have realized that their children are old enough to make this decision on their own at this point. Plus, how can they not want to be artists with parents like Cannon and Carey?

pays homage to Mariah
The aptly titled “Campaign for a Day” campaign features Roe in a dark t-shirt and blue overalls. The look is meant to pay homage to Carey’s 1990 music video for her single “Someday” where the girl in this video also wears the same outfit and sports the same big, beautiful curls. The video Carey contributed a lot to features some subliminal messages like her daughter in awe of a butterfly landing on her finger. Carey’s sixth album was titled Butterfly. The voiceover lists a slew of awards Carey has won over her decades of career as Monroe mimics her mother singing in a mirror with one finger in her ear. “How’s that for a daydream,” Monroe asks as the butterfly takes flight and the video ends another track from one of her mother’s songs. Proud parents indeed!
