ST. CLAIR, Michigan – It is with immense sadness that the family of Barbara Cadrette announce her unexpected passing on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at the age of 82. Loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, cousin and friend, she has enriched the lives of her family and friends and will be missed forever. Barbara was born on December 2, 1938 in Meriden, Connecticut, to Grace and Bertram Gray. After the death of her father, Bertram during World War II, her beloved stepfather, Harold Kirdahey, raised her. Barbara was the oldest of three children, survived by her sister, Althea Fournier; her brother, Peter Kirdahey, predeceased her in 1977. Her beloved husband, Ronald S. Cadrette, also passed away before her in 2003. Barbara cherished her years as a Sunday school teacher at the Methodist Church United from Dresden Richmond to Richmond, Maine. She was also a very active member of Michigan’s Crossroads Community Church. Barbara fed many children “north” of Richmond and continued this benevolent mission by helping with the food truck ministry of Crossroads Church, Barbara never lost her Methodist roots and loved supporting the work of the local ministry of the Church. food / clothing with the Blue Water Free Methodist Church. She loved to sing. Barbara sang with the Dresden Richmond United Methodist Church Choir before moving to St. Clair and joining the St. Clair Community Singers. Barbara is survived by her six children: Michael Cadrette and his wife, Sharon, Marian Cadrette Anderson and her husband Frank, Marlene Mitchell and her husband Skip, Mark Cadrette and her husband. wife Suzanne, Matthew Cadrette and his wife Tina, Merilee Jacques and her husband Michael. Barbara particularly loved and appreciated her eleven grandchildren; Nicole, Rachel, Jack, Aura, Jennifer, Kyle, Matthew, Garrett, Jordan, Khegan, Carson; Foster grandchildren Jeremy, Jason, Patty and nine great grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Adam, Madison, Cailee, Emma, ââJack Jr., Nathan, stepson Tyler The family would like to especially thank the compassionate and caring doctors. and the nursing team who looked after our mother at Ascension River District Hospital in East China, Michigan Friends are welcome to visit family from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Pleasant St., Richmond, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., with Reverend Michael S.
