Women Entrepreneurs Donate Mother’s Day Gift Proceeds to Tidewell
SARASOTA, FL – Four local women entrepreneurs have designed special Mother’s Day gifts based on the services and programs at Tidewell Hospice.
BSWANKY, CSJ Designs and Customized Styling by Jessica, Debbie Dannheisser Threads and author Sara Jonas are all participating in this fundraiser, Tidewell said in a press release. A portion of the proceeds from each donation will benefit the Tidewell Foundation, Inc., which supports Tidewell Hospice.
These funds will allow the Tidewell Foundation to provide free bereavement services for children and families to more than 8,000 people in Sarasota, Manatee, Desoto and Charlotte counties each year as part of Tidewell’s Blue Butterfly program.
“We are thrilled to team up with these talented, enterprising women and amazing brands to provide wonderful gifts to mothers across our community,” said Tidewell Foundation President Debbie Mason. “With the purchase of each gift, Tidewell Hospice will be able to expand the reach of its programs and touch more lives.”

CSJ designs and custom styling by Jessica
CSJ Designs and Customized Styling by Jessica is a national style and beauty concierge company that helps women look and feel their best. Founder Jessica Papineau designed a special bracelet for Tidewell’s Blue Butterfly program in memory of her good friend Denise, a Tidewell Hospice patient who lost her battle with glioblastoma in 2020.
“Denise fought valiantly and lived longer than expected,” said Papineau. “After seeing her bravely fight this horrible disease, I wanted to honor her memory.”
The Denise CSJ Butterfly Bracelet is a handmade bracelet containing sterling silver, gold fill or Labradorite beads and a butterfly charm. The Denise CSJ Butterfly bracelet reflects Denise’s love for butterflies and bracelets.
Discussions by Debbie Dannheisser
Debbie Dannheisser, designer of the Sarasota-based art and clothing line Debbie Dannheisser Threads, was inspired to create the Tidewell Collection of Art Athleisure after facing the loss of her daughter Nicole in 2018.
“As I mourned her loss, I realized that Nicole had lost her ability to see her own beauty and joy and to keep the love in her life. The first leggings I created were from the painting I had done for her months before she died, ”said Dannheisser.
The Debbie Dannheisser Tidewell collection includes high waisted leggings, high waisted capris and sports bras made from a high quality polyester / spandex blend giving it four-way stretch. Each product is decorated with butterflies and is available in several colors and patterns.
Sara Jonas’ “The Great Ham Adventure”
Local author Sara Jonas wrote “Ham’s Big Adventure” in honor of her best friend and Tidewell Hospice patient Jamie Myers.
“Even in his worst days, he took the time to comfort people and make sure they felt loved,” Jonas said. “It was also important for me to give back to the organization that gave Jamie so much time and attention at the end of his life.”
The illustrated children’s book tells the story of a space pirate who travels the universe on his pirate ship in search of the place where love truly lives. Throughout his journey, Ham discovers that love is not as far as he imagined.
